I know you should use marine grade plywood for boat building, no question. my question is if i were to use high grade construction type plywood that i can get at my local lumber yard for a simple jon boat with very little bending and then fiberglass it would i get say 4 to 6 years out of it? the reason i'm asking is because ive wanted to build my own custom fishing boat for a long time.. Re: jon boat build looking good, donald. as to my response to your question about seat height, it comes from untold hours squatting in punts and duckboats, fishing skiffs and garveys: its purely my opinion based upon my experience, but i've found i can enjoy small boats better when i am in the boat rather than on the boat..
